🍳 Kitchen Rules – Shared Accommodation
To ensure the kitchen is safe, hygienic, and pleasant for everyone, please follow these guidelines:
Keeping Clean

Clean all areas after every use.

Keep the kitchen well ventilated when cooking foods with strong odors.
Fat, Oils & Food Waste

Do NOT pour fat, oils, food, or rice down the sink.

Dispose of these items in the outside waste bins.

Costs for unblocking pipes due to improper disposal will be billed to all tenants.
Bins & Waste

Empty kitchen waste bins into outside bins every other day.

Any mess on bin tops, walls, or floors must be cleaned immediately.

Keep the bin area clean and hygienic for your own health and well-being.
Respect Your Housemates

Respect others’ personal space.

Avoid cross-contamination in fridges by storing food in adequate containers.
Regular Checks

Check your storage spaces regularly for spoiled food or items past their expiry date.
Proper Storage

All food should be stored in appropriate containers.

Do not leave food exposed or put hot pans into cupboards. Improper storage can attract pests.
Damages
-
Do not place hot pans on benches or the floor; this can damage surfaces.

Any damage caused through neglect or misuse will be billed to all tenants.
Cleaning & Monitoring

The kitchen is regularly cleaned and monitored.

Please wait in your room while the cleaning team is attending the area.
Reporting Issues
-
Report any issues in the kitchen via the COHO app or email management at rooms@roomstoletne.co.uk.

Observing someone misusing the kitchen? Report confidentially—misuse affects all tenants.
