Vikki Marie Bond, MARLA –  Vikki has  20+ years letting experience , Is currently the Managing Director of Rooms to Let North East.

Rooms to Let Sunderland started off in 2015 – turning old tired student accommodation into house share homes for working professionals coming to Sunderland for work/ contracts.

In 2022 Rooms to let Sunderland became – Rooms to Let Ne  have now expanded into more areas and have decided to move forward with the name change.

Rooms to Let North East is a specialist Room Let agency in the North East of England.

Rooms to Let North East provide accommodation for young workers, professionals, contractors, NHS staff and master students.

We also supply rooms to Students and Postgrads throughout the North East.

As well as Room Lets , we provide single let / Family homes for every step of renting. From apartments to family homes. Most of our tenants stay with us and move across  to the homes they require.  Six month lets to long term homes.

A lot of our tenants have lived with Rooms to Let for a very long time.  We have room tenants that have stayed over 10 years and families that have been with us forever.  We are proud to deliver the service we do.

Vikki started a property career in 1999, working within a busy estate agents office.  Letting and managing property became a full time career in 2005 and in 2010, Vikki invested in  education with MOL ( though ARLA -Now Property Mark) to keep updated with the ever-changing legislation and since then, has continued to maintain my continued professional development each year.

Vikki has had a long career in property and been involved in all areas of property rental including  experience of serviced accommodation units. Started with HMOs for only student lets – turning the whole portfolio over each year with new student groups ( V exhausting)  , then worked with homeless and vulnerable tenants and finally Professional and working tenants/ Post Grads and Master Students. The majority of Rooms to let properties now are occupied by professionals, workers and NHS contractors.

Rooms to let Ne offer single let properties to Housing benefit/ UC tenants . Due to restrictions in Insurance , we are unable to offer shared accommodation to Housing benefit/ Universal credit.

As well as managing and letting HMO properties in Sunderland, Durham, Newcastle and Darlington.  We also help landlords bring their tired HMO Properties up to current standard. To attract the modern market. Been involved in a number of refurbishment projects of HMO property and single lets across the North East. Properties are transformed to high standard and long lasting to withstand turn overs. End up attracting better tenants and more rental income.

Properties sourced are in high demand areas of the North East and to the size and requirements of both kind of lets. The aim is to provide an excellent standard of accommodation with the highest standards of safety and security.

Properties and rooms are always let continuously and with no void periods, to meet the high demand of tenants seeking good quality, safe secure accommodation in the North East.

Vikki,  day to day can receive many calls for accommodation in areas of the North East.  Many callers are calling off recommendations and referrals from others and even their employer or recruitment agents can recommend Vikki – the GO to PERSON for GREAT accommodation in the North East. .  Knowing the top service and hard work Vikki puts into the sector.

Often these callers haven’t even checked Rooms to let – they have just been recommended to find Vikki.

Most recently a caller had tracked Vikki down . 17 years ago she was once one of Vikki’s happy tenants and now lives down South.  Most recently they had a family member coming to work in Sunderland and had told her to look for Vikki to help.

In 2024 – luckily Vikki still working and not with feet up enjoying well deserved time away from letting, managed to help the family member and happily shared help with all the knowledge on the new Sunderland and its changes.

Away from working all hours,  Vikki can be found exploring , nature, walks, being in the middle of nowhere. Enjoying green space, water, mountains and countryside.  Vikki works hard week to week to find perfect places all tenants that come through to Rooms to Let Ne.  Blessed and grateful to receive so many referrals for accommodation in the North East.

Vikki has helped thousands of people over the years,  met fantastic people. Goes above an beyond to help people relocating with their work to the North.  It can be scary and daunting not knowing what areas are safe .  Especially when working shifts for NHS and other employments.
