House Share – Single Occupancy Only

All rooms in this property are for single occupancy only. This rule is in place to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all tenants, and to comply with fire safety regulations.

For example, if a house share is set up for 5 people, all facilities, fire safety measures, and services are designed for 5 occupants only. Introducing additional people into the property:

  • Poses a fire and safety risk, as the house is only equipped for the registered number of tenants.

  • Increases wear and tear, resulting in higher maintenance issues.

  • May result in additional costs, as utility usage and services are calculated for registered tenants only.

  • Compromises security, as all tenants have the right to know who is living in the property.

Any tenant found to have unauthorised occupants may be in breach of their tenancy agreement. If you suspect someone is living in the property who should not be, you are encouraged to report this confidentially to Property Management.
